11/17/21 – This is a gorgeous example of a factory-engraved Steyr Mannlicher Model 1903 Carbine, manufactured in 1929. The gun features a beautiful and very ornate oak leaf and acorn engraving pattern on the chamber, tang, floor plate, and trigger group. There is also a detailed engraving of what we assume is a stag and an antelope on the floor plate and underside of the trigger guard. The gun has retained about 95% of its original high polish bluing. There is just some very light scratchy wear around the muzzle and some minor wear on the bolt stop. There is noticeable thinning and minor discoloration on the grip cap and the butt plate. There is still some fire blue intact on some of the small parts. The stock is beautiful and near-mint.
