Description
This is a factory-original, low comb stock from a standard rifle produced between 1948 and 1958. It will fit all standard rifles made between 1948 and 1963 other than the H&H magnum and .458 magnum chamberings.
The stock retains its original finish with some areas that appear to have been touched-up. The underside of the barrel channel especially shows that finish has been added. Otherwise, the stock is original, with a fair number of scratches, handling marks and some peeling to the finish. The steel buttplate is original with most of its bluing, though there is some evidence of slight rust/pitting. The checkering remains in excellent condition — sharp and clean. While weathered-looking, this stock is still in very good condition with no cracks, chips, repairs or other modifications.
