Description
This is a .220 Swift stainless steel standard contour barrel from a 1948 Model 70 rifle.
Bluing and Metal – The bluing is in excellent condition with a few spots of minor wear. There is no notable damage to the metal.
Bore – 9/10 – While these stainless barrels generally do not get pitted, a lot of the .220 Swift barrels show significant throat erosion – this one does not. There is a bit of throat wear; it’s minor, resulting in grading of 9 out of 10 for the bore.
We use the NRA Modern Gun Condition Standards Grading System for grading part conditions. You can read about it HERE
