The Bestech Hedron BFK02 is a practical EDC knife. A fixed EDC knife no less. Designer Ostap Hel designed the Hedron as such that you can easily carry it on a daily basis. The advantage of a fixed EDC knife over a pocket knife is that a fixed knife is always stronger than a pocket knife. So will you, as you work around the house, ask a little more from your knife than you normally would from your pocket knife? That is when you will truly appreciate your strong, fixed knife.
This, however, doesn’t mean that the Hedron limits itself to EDC tasks. We also see it reach its full potential during hiking or camping, and even during the BBQ or for other outdoor cooking tasks the Hedron will come in handy.
The blade of the Bestech Hedron is made from tough D2 steel. This is a budget-friendly type of steel that can handle its own! It retains its sharpness well and is also easy to sharpen with the right means. You do, however, have to be careful around acids, salt and moisture: D2 is not completely stainless. So clean the blade after use. The handle is made from micarta and offer you enough grip. A composite material from linen and synthetic resin. Micarta feels great in hand and will, in time, absorb the grease from your hands making the handle change colour. As such each handle will be unique in time.
You can carry the Bestech Hedron with you with the included sleek kydex sheath. Because of the flat plastic belt loop you can carry the sheath close to your body to make sure it won’t get in the way. Do you prefer a different carrying option? With one of the clips and belt loops from the combi deals you can adjust it to your own preferences.
