Description
The CRKT Odr is a practical axe developed by Ryan Johnson. In terms of design, the axe looks a lot like a ‘Mattock’ or pick. An ancient hand tool that is very similar to the more well-known pickaxe. The axe has a horizontal edge, instead of the common vertical edge. Not great for splitting wood, but this axe is great for turning over soil or breaking up tree roots.
This wooden handle is ‘all-American made’. To be precise, the handle has been made by the Tennessee Hickory company. This type of wood is equipped to handle blows during use. It feels great in hand and is enhanced with a protective coating. The handle extends a little into the axe head. As such, you can easily place it on its head. This tough axe is made to be used!
