The Diligent Defense DTF-STI is a short titanium suppressor built for .338 Lapua Magnum and 8.6 Blackout, using the same Enticer-derived baffle design that produced the quietest at-ear .308 readings in PEW Science testing. At 6.75 inches and 9.2 ounces without mount, the DTF-STI keeps length and weight off your rifle without sacrificing bore capacity. Tubeless titanium construction maximizes internal volume for better sound reduction while keeping the package under 10 ounces. The 1.375×24 HUB rear threading puts every major QD ecosystem within reach, including offerings from Dead Air, SilencerCo, Griffin Armament, Q, and YHM. Rated for calibers up to .338 Lapua Magnum with a 0.400-inch bore, and offers an unlimited firing schedule on 8.6 Blackout subsonic when kept below 800 degrees.
CAPITOL ARMORY’S OPINION
Most .338-bore suppressors are long and heavy by necessity. Covering that bore diameter with meaningful sound reduction can mean accepting a silencer that adds 12 or more inches and pushes over a pound in weight. The DTF-STI cuts that tradeoff considerably. Six and three-quarter inches and under 10 ounces is a compact package for a suppressor rated to .338 Lapua Magnum, and that matters on a precision rifle where balance and maneuverability are part of the equation. By removing the outer tube, Diligent Defense increases internal volume for a given external diameter, which translates to more suppression in a shorter package. The suppressor ships without a mount, and 8.6 Blackout shooters who want direct thread will most likely need the M18x1.5 titanium adapter.
