GRIFFIN ARMAMENT GP5 – DIRECT THREAD 5.56 SUPPRESSOR, PIN-AND-WELD READY, FULL-AUTO RATED
The Griffin Armament GP5 is a tubeless direct thread 5.56mm suppressor built from laser-welded 17-4PH stainless steel with Griffin’s patented ECO-FLOW baffle system. At 12.5 ounces and 6.25 inches, it delivers 31 dB of measured sound reduction across .22 caliber aperture loads from standard 5.56 through .220 Swift with no barrel length restrictions and a full-auto rating. The GP5 ships pre-drilled for pin-and-weld on a minimum 10.5-inch barrel, clearing the 16-inch OAL threshold for a rifle build without an SBR tax stamp. Three-quarter-inch wrench flats front and rear allow secure torque installation with a standard wrench.

CAPITOL ARMORY’S OPINION
The GP5 occupies a needed spot in the suppressor market. It is a purpose-built, all-steel workhorse that doesn’t ask you to choose between durability and value. The tubeless construction keeps durability high, but adds volume for extra sound signature reduction. While we always suggest going with a SBR, the pin-and-weld feature is worth pointing out. For those who wish to have a shorter suppressed rifle without a Form 1, the GP5 can get this done. The 3/4-inch wrench flats front and rear are a nice detail for installation and removal. The GP5 is not the lightest or the quietest option on the market, but it is a solid, honest suppressor that will hold up to hard use without complaint.
