4/5/22 – This is an original Harrington & Richardson M1 Garand made during the first year of production. This rifle has scarce early production qualities, like some parts from Springfield and Winchester. When H&R first starting making Garand’s for the Korean War & Vietnam, they bought up as many parts as they could from other manufacturers to help speed up their initial production. This rifle fits that story. Further, what makes this rifle interesting is that it has British proofs on the topside of the barrel from our lend-lease program with the UK during the time.The rifle is in excellent condition overall with beautiful wood and a plumb colored metal receiver. The bore is in excellent condition as well with only trace signs of use. Overall a 9 out of 10. Includes post war manufactured canvas carry bag.
