6/9/22 – This is a very nice example of a Colt Model 1911 issued to the US military in 1918. It is “United States Property” marked and has the proper military acceptance proof. It also has a proper barrel with an “S” under the lug. It has retained about 94% of its bluing. While there isn’t a ton of actual finish loss, there is noticeable brown patina under the finish of the whole gun and areas of splotchy discoloration here and there. Areas of minor pitting around the muzzle and on the top and right side of the slide. Comes with very nice wood grips and a magazine with a lanyard ring. The rifling in the bore slightly worn with pin-pricking throughout.
