Description
4/12/22 – This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1911 issued to the US military in 1918. It is properly “United States Property” marked and has an “Eagle Head S14” military inspection proof on the left side of the frame. It also has a correct “HP” Colt barrel. The gun has retained roughly half of its bluing with noticeable flaking in the finish and splotchy discoloration on the whole gun. Spotty oxidation on the grip straps. Comes with nice period-correct wood grips – some dulling in the checkering on the right side. Also comes with a proper two-tone magazine. The bore has great rifling with some very minor frosting in the grooves.
