1/6/22 – This is a very nice example of a Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1941. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 359” Nazi military acceptance proofs throughout, even on the small parts (except for the hammer). It comes with a period-correct Walther magazine that is not matching but is in the correct serial number block. The gun has retained about 90% of its original finish. There is wear on both sides of the slide, concentrated mostly around the high edges. There are also areas of minor wear on the front strap and underside of the trigger guard – spotty brown patina in the same areas. Some light scratchy wear on the right side and top of the barrel. Spotty oxidation on both sides of the slide. Comes with excellent period-correct bakelite grips. The bore is very shiny with strong rifling and areas of light freckling here and there. De-cocker is functional.
