1/23/23 – This is an AC 42 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1942. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 359” military acceptance proofs throughout. Unfortunately, there are letters and numbers scratched into the right side of the slide, appears to be a GI number. The gun has retained about 90% of its finish with areas of minor wear on the front strap, around the muzzle, and on the high edges of the slide. While there isn’t much actual finish loss, there is spotty oxidation and patina throughout and some splotchy discoloration around the rear sight. Fitted with very nice “Eagle 359” proofed Walther grips and comes with a post-factory numbered, non-matching jvd magazine. The bore has strong rifling with light frosting in the grooves. De-cocker is functional. This would make an excellent shooter.
