Description
2/24/22 – This is an excellent example of a Colt Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1943. The slide is numbered and matching to the frame. The gun has the proper cross-canon military cartouche, “G.H.D.” inspector initials, and is “United States Property” marking on the right side of the frame. It has a period-correct Colt .45 Auto barrel with a large “G” under the lug. This gun is excellent, retaining about 96-97% of its original finish. There is just some very minor wear concentrated around the high edges in general and very minor thinning on the front strap. There is a series of tiny dings at the back left of the slide. Comes with excellent period-correct grips a proper “L” marked magazine. The bore is near-mint.
