12/28/22 – This is a nice example of a Fabrica de Armas La Coruna FR8, dated 1947 on the receiver.The FR8 is based on the Mauser System 98 bolt action rifle, and was adopted by Spain at the start of the 1950s.Matching numbers on bolt and receiver. Faint import mark on the barrel. This one comes with a bayonet, scabbard, and green canvas sling. The bayo is numbered but does not match the gun. The metal parts have retained roughly 85% of their finish with general thinning throughout – most noticeable along the barrel. The wood stock is very nice – no major damage, but there is a small hairline crack in the upper handguard. Minty bore.
