10/4/21 – This is a near-mint example of a Mauser P.38 put together by the French using leftover Nazi parts immediately after WW2. It is all matching, has a French star on the right side of the slide, and has a “Waffen 135” Nazi military acceptance proof on the barrel. It has retained about 99% of its bluing. We believe this is not the factory original finish, and could be a French refinish. There are just a few very light scratches on the front edge of the right side of the slide. Comes with desirable “gray ghost” French grips and a period-correct magazine that is not waffen-proofed. The bore is mint. De-cocker is functional.
