4/22/22 – This is a scarce Harrington & Richardson M4 Survival rifle that was produced for the U.S. Air Force and chambered in .22 Hornet.These weapons were issued to various air crews, but was not used for defense; the weapon was instead used as a survival tool for these crews to forage wild game for food and other resources.Fewer than 30,000 were produced, with production running from 1949 into the early 1960’s.This one is in great shape with minor thinning of the finish on either side of the receiver and an excellent bore.Two total magazines are included, with one being unmarked and the other marked ‘Mod. 23-D Savage .22 Hornet’ on the base (correct mag). The telescoping stock is retractable and the barrel is detachable.Comes with a well-fitted carry case.C&R eligible.
