1/30/23 – This is an original WW1 era production Mauser C96 “Broomhandle” Leather harness. This harness goes around a C96 wood stock, and since these were mostly made during WW1, many of them are modified or extremely worn on today’s market. This example is in great overall condition despite some mild surface wear throughout, and some light rub / scuffing wear on the back of the harness, as shown. The harness has no markings or stamps, except for a Germany export stamp on the closure strap. The closure strap also has what looks like a faint unit stamp of some sort. The leather is soft and pliable with normal use and aging wear. The stitching is all original and mostly intact – there are a few loose stitches but this doesn’t affect functionality and all of the stitching is in place. Comes with one metal stripper clip.
