Description
12/13/22 – This is an original WW2 Luftwaffe Gravity knife. The knife is in great overall condition despite a few flaws and some honest wear. The blade has some surface scratching and light evidence of sharpening along the edge. The blade opens and falls back into the handle with ease, as this example is mechanically excellent. The only visible numbered part is the side lever, which is numbered 898. The metal side bar, release lever, and pommel all have a buffed, cleaned look. This is appealing despite the finish loss. The helmet pick releases and closes without issue and is Luftwaffe proof stamped at the base. The wood handle has one crack stemming down from the top, and there are some mild surface scratches throughout the wood.
