Description
11/22/24 – This is a minty example of a Colt Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1945. It is “United States Property” marked, “GHD” inspection marked, and has the proper cross-cannon military cartouche. It has a Colt barrel marked “Square C”, which is correct for a gun in this serial range. It comes as a rig with an “R” marked period-correct magazine and a near-mint 1945-dated Milwaukee Saddlery tan leather holster – still has its original lanyard. The gun itself has retained about 97% of its original parkerized finish. There is minor muzzle wear, hints of wear on some of the high edges, and an area of minor wear on the front strap. Comes with excellent period-correct plastic grips. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
