Description
12/19/22 – This is a minty example of a Springfield Model 1903 rifle issued to the United States Marine Corps during WW2. The receiver dates to 1918, and the barrel is USMC marked and dated June of 1941. The gun includes a copy of a USMC service letter (dated 10 Feb 1932) mentioning this gun by serial number. The gun itself is in near-mint condition with virtually no signs of wear except for a few small scuffs here and there. Very nice stock with no major damage – just a few small gouges on the left side. Very faint “P” proof on the wrist. The stock appears to have been lightly sanded. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
