2/2/23 – This pistol has an interesting history. It was initially issued to the Nazi military in 1936. It has the proper “Eagle 63” military proofs. It was then likely reworked by the East German police after WW2. These are often known as “VoPo” Lugers. It is all matching except for the rear toggle pin, which is numbered “24”. The top of the rear toggle link is marked with electro-pencil – this was likely done at the police arsenal. Also at the police arsenal, the gun was refinished and given a set of post war grips. It has retained nearly all of its new bluing, with some handling marks on the front strap and minor dulling on both straps. Comes with one police arsenal-numbered but mismatched magazine. Excellent, shiny bore.
