11/8/22 – This is an excellent example of a Walther Model 4 manufactured in the 1920’s. There is an Imperial proof on the left side of the slide, indicating this was an officer’s pistol. The gun has retained about 95% of its original finish with some muzzle wear and very minor thinning on the straps. While there is not much actual finish loss, there is light spotty oxidation throughout and noticeable brown patina on the grip straps. Comes with excellent period-correct black bakelite grips and a period-correct “Walther” marked magazine. Very nice bore with strong rifling and some very light freckling here and there.
