These handguards are a timeless classic that can be seen used still to this day in basic training and by Law Enforcement agencies. From the M4 carbine’s design in the 80’s this handguard design saw many conflicts and is still in production on many sporting rifles.
Although they were phased out by the Knights Armament RAS there were many developments to modernize the handguard via barrel clamp PEQ mounts and CQB rail adapters to attach a foregrip.
