The Yankee Hill Machine R9 is a 9mm suppressor built for pistol caliber carbines and submachine guns. The fully welded, tubeless 17-4 PH stainless steel construction handles high-volume 9mm fire and is full-auto rated. At 5.2 inches long and 10.7 ounces, the R9 keeps compact firearms maneuverable. The tubeless design removes the inner tube found in traditional suppressors, increasing internal volume within the same outer dimensions. More volume means more gas containment and quieter performance. YHM rates the R9 at 123 dB on 9mm and 142 dB on .308 Winchester (20-inch barrel).

Beyond 9mm, YHM built the R9 to handle rifle calibers including .300 Blackout, .308 Winchester, 5.56 NATO, 6.5 Grendel, 7.62×39, 6.8 SPC, and 350 Legend. Rifle caliber use requires a minimum 16-inch barrel, except 300 Blackout at 7.5 inches. The R9 can also suppress 9mm handguns with a Nielsen Booster Assembly and compatible piston.

The R9 uses a 1-3/8″x24 HUB mounting interface. This opens up a wide range of attachment options: direct thread adapters, YHM Kurz QD, YHM SRX, 3-lug mounts, Dead Air KeyMo, Q Plan B, SilencerCo ASR, and others. Model: YHM-2155-28

The YHM R9 is best suited for submachine guns and pistol-caliber carbines. It’s at home on a CZ Scorpion, MP5, SP5, MPX, APC9, Stribog, or similar 9mm platform. With a booster housing and piston, it also works on Browning-style handguns. Where the R9 sets itself apart from dedicated 9mm suppressors is rifle caliber capability. The .308 and 5.56 ratings (with 16-inch minimum barrels) mean it can pull double duty on a bolt gun or full-length AR. The 300 Blackout rating at 7.5 inches makes it functional on short-barreled 300 BLK hosts as well. If your primary use is a 9mm PCC or subgun and you want one suppressor that can move across platforms, the R9 handles the job at a price point that’s hard to argue with.
